Not sure what's happening with me on this one, but it seems like the more I listen to it, the better Philly Style gets. Philly Style stated simply is one of Jeff Lorber's best CDs to date.
Philly Style kicks off with a great track, Under Wraps, that I anticipate will be heard on radio stations everywhere, and deservedly so. It's a really nice track.
Lorber is one of those musicians that has the ability to just bowl you over with his talent. The kind of artist it's really a treat to be able to listen to.
Overall Philly Style is a solid release. Quite possibly Jeff Lorber's best to date. Really spectacular from beginning to end. If you're even mildly into Smooth Jazz music you'll enjoy this CD.
While the entire CD is outstanding the truly standout tracks are Gigabyte [track 2], Regardless Of [track 3], and When She Smiles [track 10].
My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1, Under Wraps. Great track!
